The Microsoft Azure Government cloud is now offering its federal, state and local government customers two new analytics and visualization services.
Power BI Pro. Azure Government customers can create dashboards to connect to and aggregate a broad range of live data. They will also be able to use the Power BI Publish to Web feature, which lets users embed interactive Power BI visualizations in blog posts, websites emails or social media.
HDInsight. This fully managed cloud Hadoop offering provides optimized open source analytic clusters for Spark, Hive, MapReduce, HBase, Storm, Kafka, and R Server. With HDInsight on Azure, data scientists can combine code and statistical equations to develop models that enable faster and smarter decisions.
Microsoft also announced a preview of Cognitive Services in Azure Government, a series of machine-based language, vision, search and knowledge of application programming interfaces that help developers build apps with just a few lines of code.
The announcements were made at the March 6 Microsoft Tech Summit in Washington, D.C.
