FedRAMP Connect picks 7 for JAB prioritization
- By Gov Cloud Insider Staff
FedRAMP Connect, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program’s plan for prioritizing vendors for a provisional authority to operate, has selected seven cloud service providers to work with the Joint Authorization Board for authorization
FedRAMP Connect selects CSPs based on demand, which can be demonstrated by current and potential agency use, cross-agency services or official request by agencies.
According to a FedRAMP blog post, CSPs that applied for FedRAMP Connect submitted business cases that described their capabilities and how their service delivers a return on investment by reducing risk, saving cost, and/or addressing political considerations. Applications also provided customer stories that demonstrated their capabilities and impact.
Out of the roughly 40 business cases it received, FedRAMP selected 14 CSPs to pitch their services, detailing their governmentwide demand, applicability for cross-agency use and security. After a full evaluation by the JAB and 13 agencies’ representatives, seven were chosen to work with the JAB:
- Accenture Federal Services – Accenture Insights Platform
- Apptio – Apptio, Inc.
- Box – Box Enterprise Cloud Content Collaboration Platform
- Google – Google Cloud Platform
- Axon – Axon Evidence.com
- XTEC – AuthentX Cloud Service Offering
- SAP National Security Services (NS2) – SuccessFactors Suite for Federal
The next round of FedRAMP Connect will start toward the end of summer.
