Web-based GEOINT analysis tool gets upgrade
To improve services for analyzing imagery, graphic features and data systems processing for the military, Textron Systems has upgraded its web-based RVcloud geospatial intelligence software.
The product is a cloud-based version of its geospatial intelligence software, RemoteView. RVcloud gives analysts the essential features needed to view and interact with full-resolution, geo-referenced imagery within an intuitive interface, the company said.
“RVcloud consists of an HTML 5-based browser application coupled with a collection of highly performant web services that efficiently stream image data across the network,” Matt Morris, Textron Systems geospatial solutions director of integrated solutions, said in a statement.
Users of RVcloud can perform change analysis, viewing and comparing up to eight images simultaneously with mosaic, two-color multiview, blend and other analysis techniques. A new external overview window provides context and an additional way to navigate imagery, and Microsoft PowerPoint templates can be tailored to meet customer needs, Textron Systems said.
The new RVcloud 1.3 an application programming interface enables enterprise integration, including the ability to drive an image viewport and export graphic features.
“Our customers expressed their desire to move to the cloud,” said Daryl Madden, senior vice president and general manager of Geospatial Solutions. “We were able to build upon the legacy of RemoteView to meet that need through the development of RVcloud.”
