Salesforce tapped for CBP human resources work
- By Nick Wakeman
Customs and Border Protection has awarded a contract to Salesforce for cloud services to support human resources efforts.
The agency will be modernizing its HR processes, including recruitment, retirements, engagement with citizens, and management of border activities with Salesforce Analytics, Community Cloud and Service Cloud.
Salesforce Analytics will be used for dashboard to monitor recruiting efforts by demographics, regions and other factors.
With Community Cloud, the agency wants to transform its core HR IT capabilities and become more efficient. Current employees will be able to access information such as onboarding, benefits and payroll.
At the border, Service Cloud will be used to help manage activities and handle citizens via a variety of channels.
“There is a huge opportunity for government agencies to modernize so they can meet the expectations of today's digitally savvy employees and citizens,” said Dave Rey, executive vice president for public sector, at Salesforce.
The value of the contract was not released.
