Telos releases compliance template for FedRAMP
- By Sara Friedman
The authorization process for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program can be lengthy, complex and expensive. To streamline the process for agencies and cloud service providers, Telos has released a FedRAMP-specific template for its Xacta 360 compliance software. The template streamlines and automates necessary FedRAMP documentation, including project registration, assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring.
The FedRAMP template is optimized for the Amazon Web Services GovCloud environment. The solution allows users to inherit compliance data from AWS; it also scans accounts to automatically inventory and validate ongoing compliance to address continuous monitoring requirements.
The template was developed in response to a request for information on maturing and automating more elements of the FedRAMP process, company officials said. It is structured to align with the federal government’s Agency Authorization Playbook of FedRAMP best practices and the recently issued FedRAMP CSP Authorization Playbook.
